Astounding Pictures is a new movie studio founded by Herb Henderson. The studio’s primary function is the production and distribution of original video entertainment. Astounding’s movies and series can be seen free of charge on the Astounding Pictures Podcast Network (A2PN). By mixing computers, portable media devices and high speed internet connectivity with the business model of broadcast television, A2PN is able to give you the following: The independent television station you can put in your pocket.™ A2PN is launching Channel 1 on July 1st, 2008. Channel 1’s programming is a mix of comedy, action, drama, horror, science fiction, mystery and suspense. Programs with mature themes will be vodcast as “edited for television,” with all the naughty bits blurred or bleeped (in the FCC regulated broadcast television tradition). Viewer feedback is encouraged, as each show’s success (or failure) will determine if uncut and commercial-free editions will be made available for purchase on DVD through Astounding Pictures’ web site. Plans for subsequent A2PN channels include a family-oriented channel presenting educational programming, as well as a “talk radio” channel which will devlier lively discussion of topics like entertainment and politics, as well as audio dramas in the Old Time Radio style.
